Mentorship

In Colorado, Mentorship services are designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by promoting independence, self-advocacy, confidence, and community inclusion. These services provide guidance and positive support to help individuals develop communication skills, social interaction skills, decision-making abilities, problem-solving strategies, and meaningful relationships. Mentorship services are person-centered and focused on helping individuals participate more fully in their communities while encouraging personal growth, independence, and overall well-being through real-world experiences and supportive relationships.

About Mentorship

At Peak Journeys Disability Services, Mentorship services are implemented through compassionate, individualized support tailored to each member’s personal goals, interests, and strengths. Our mentors work alongside individuals in community settings to build confidence, encourage independence, and develop important life skills through positive role modeling and meaningful engagement. Participants are supported in exploring hobbies, practicing social and communication skills, building friendships, participating in community activities, and learning everyday life skills that promote greater independence and inclusion.
