Pre-Vocational

In Colorado, Pre-Vocational services are designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop the skills needed to prepare for future employment and greater independence. These services focus on teaching work-related skills, building confidence, and improving an individual’s ability to participate successfully in volunteer or employment settings within the community. Pre-Vocational services may include instruction and support with communication, teamwork, problem-solving, workplace behavior, time management, task completion, responsibility, and following directions.
