Supported Community Connections

In Colorado, Supported Community Connections (SCC) services are designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities access and participate in their communities through meaningful activities, social engagement, and skill development. SCC services focus on promoting independence, community inclusion, relationship building, and personal growth by supporting individuals in recreational, educational, volunteer, and community-based activities. These services are person-centered and intended to help individuals strengthen social skills, communication abilities, self-advocacy, and everyday life skills while increasing opportunities for community participation and meaningful connections.
